THE CIRCLE MAKER—PART 4
“CIRCLE MAKERS WAIT EXPECTANTLY!”
Pastor Andy Shaffer—December 2, 2012
• Praying is like Planting!
Lamentations 3:25 (GW)—“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to anyone who seeks help from Him.”
Positive Outcomes of Waiting:
• Waiting Causes Us To Mature In Our Faith!
Isaiah 40:31—“But those who hope in the Lord (those who wait on the Lord) will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
• Waiting Develops Our Patience!
Psalm 27:14 (NLT)—“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”
Psalm 37:7—“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him…”
• Waiting Creates Confidence In God!
Habakkuk 2:3 (NLT)—“This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.”
Daniel 10:12-14—“Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.”
Ephesians 6:12—“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Stop, Drop, & Pray!
Daniel 6:10—“Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.”
Daniel 1:8—“Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine.”
This Week’s Challenge:
Fast (don’t eat) at least one meal this week to pray for the promise, miracle or dream you’re willing to pray for as long as it takes!
